Oxyvet 200 LA Antibiotic is an injectable liquid solution used to treat many diseases in bovine, swine, and sheep (Compendium of Veterinary Products, 2016). The product needs to be injected into the animal by intramuscular injection or by subcutaneous injection in order for the drug to work effectively (Norbrook Incorporated, 2016). The product contains exact amounts of how much should be administered per injection site. As a general guideline, no more than ten ml should be injected into cattle and 5 ml for swine (Compendium of Veterinary Products, 2016). The drug combats a wide range of diseases such as; bovine respiratory disease, blackleg, leptospirosis, and mastitis. The drug also combats other diseases, some less deadly, such as; naval infections, metritis, footrot, arthritis, and calf diphtheria (Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). In pigs, the antibiotic treatment can treat erysipelas, enteritis, leptospirosis, mastitis, metritis and bacterial pneumonia (Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). Finally, in sheep, the drug can treat pneumonia footrot, streptothricosis, mastitis, and metritis (National Animal Disease Information Service, 2016).. The solution comes in a 250ml bottle  and it is essential that the solution is injected using a clean syringe for sanitary purposes.
